Networking is such an important part of growing any business. Whether you are looking for suppliers or clients, simply talking about your business needs and asking simple questions most likely will set you on a path to finding the people you need to be a success.

My guest this week is Gwen Austin from RC Art Toys. She is the creator of the award winning Color Bug toy and was also featured on Oprah’s Next Big Idea show last year.

Gwen is a mother who started her business as an example to her two children that you should always reach for the stars and follow your dreams. Gwen takes us along her manufacturing journey from product development through packaging and distribution. She also shares how the idea for the color bug came to her, nearly 10 years before she began her company.

Gwen is smart enough to know that you need good people on your team who know their jobs well and who will help you reach your goals. Networking is how she reached this point and encourages everyone to just ask the question, “Who do I know that could help me?”
