More Free Time &
Peace of Mind
I love
the Internet. I’ve been in the process of learning about
Internet marketing for about 5 years. During my first 3
years I did everything myself.
I’ll tell you, by the end of the 3rd year, I was getting
pretty burned out. My expertise is in introducing people
to healthy lifestyle choices and that is where my
passion lies. I was a single parent, working a full-time
government job, and learning to run my home-based
business in the evenings and weekends.
I rarely had time to spend with my children, and I was
exhausted. There were many aspects that I enjoyed doing,
but I was always feeling overwhelmed. Sometimes I would
become almost immobilized, not knowing which direction
to go first, because there were just so many things to
do.
Then 2 years ago, I joined an online mentoring group,
and Alice Seba was my mentor. As I watched and listened,
and saw what a brilliant example she was – I started to
understand the word “outsourcing”.
I was an Executive Assistant in a government job for
many years. I had always been the support person, the
one who accomplished everything in the background to
make the CEO look good.
What I finally started to realize was that in fact I was
the boss and the CEO of Diana’s Healthy Lifestyles, and
that I didn’t have to do it all.
To tell you the truth --
it was difficult at first
because I wanted control over everything and I knew how
I wanted everything done. You know how sometimes it
is easier to do it yourself than to show someone else?
That was how I was feeling. I also was feeling awkward
at being “the boss”.
Over the next few months, I learned:
1. Alice didn’t do everything herself! In fact, she
often said she was not even really that technically
advanced – which I found unbelievable! I wondered, how
can she accomplish so much, then?
2. Alice had people that she knew and trusted to produce
wonderful results.
3. Alice developed relationships over the internet, and
that was a huge key to gathering a trusted team to whom
she could outsource projects.
I started slowly, and my first outsourcing was my
wonderful Virtual Assistant, who lives in the U.S. I
live in Canada, so this was a lot of fun, as well as
being very rewarding.
Now, 2 years since I first heard the word “outsourcing”,
I could not live without all my support. I pay talented
people for all the following, and more:
1. Creating my blogs

3. Writing articles, reports, ebooks
4. Copy-writing for sales pages
5. Creating graphics
6. Advice and assistance with Podcasting

This has given me more free time and greater peace of
mind, as well as helping my income grow. Alice certainly
