What Makes Your Business Unique?

Summer Chat Series

Welcome to Episode #48!

One of the most important questions to ask yourself when starting your business is, “What makes MY business different from my competitors?” Or what is my Unique Selling Point (USP)?

My guest this week discovered a need for colorful and whimsical baby clothing when she gave birth to her daughters. Sick of pink and purple clothing, Marianne Mullen created Polka Dot Patch Baby Boutique to supply new moms with non-traditional clothing. In just three short years her store has grown to the point of hiring employees.

Listen in as Marianne tells me about starting her business, writing a business operations manual, some of the struggles of running a business by yourself, and how her own USP has helped bring her success in the saturated baby clothing market.
